Washington, D.C. dad and photographer Lady Engledow has designed, with help from his spouse Jen, an awesome and crazy Globe's Best Father picture sequence where he shows a confused, sleep-deprived and risky Dad to his lovely little girl Alice Bee, which is the kind of dad that he never programs to be. The personality I represent in this sequence is designed to be a parody of the dad I wish I never become–distracted, self-absorbed, neglectful, confused, or even sometimes overbearing.
I’ve always used comedy as a way to cope with my individual worries and neuroses, and in many way these pictures are often an make an effort to do just that–to demonstrate humorously the worries that I and, as I’ve discovered, many other new dads have about fatherhood.
